The carpet has landed!

At last … the 3G ‘carpet’ is in place on the community/training pitch as shown in the above picture. Now it really does feel like somewhere that football can be played! The touchlines are currently being stitched and later this week, the sand base and rubber crumb will be laid, so this pitch is nearly complete.

The images below show the current state of progress on the main pitch which has its Tarmac sub-base down, fencing posts and floodlights in place and a visible footprint of where the 307 seater main stand will be built. The main pitch ‘carpet’ or top-surface won’t be installed until the bulk of the clubhouse and ancillary buildings have been completed to avoid any damage to it. The main stand will be installed by the end of next month.

  1. It’s great to see Horsham getting close to being in there new home; it’s been to long since Queens Street was left for developers to destroy what was a Super ground in my mind as an ex Horsham player .
